How to Make Redneck Stew - A Recipe from My Mother

Published by melissan at 8:28 pm under HUMOR Edit This

My mother has no idea why I call this recipe Redneck Stew.  “What?  It’s good” she says and shakes her head at me.  This recipe IS good, but I believe I have named it correctly.  Here it is:

Ingredients:  1 package of kielbasa, 1 bag of pre-made (16 oz.) of meatballs, a large bottle of ketchup, a 16 oz. bottle of beer, a large onion, a large green pepper.

Place all ingredients in a large crock pot.  Allow to slow cook for several hours, stirring occasionally.   That’s it.  You’re done.  Serve on paper plates while sitting on folding chairs on your front porch.  It helps if the chairs are rusty and ready to fall apart.  For a beverage that goes well with this stew try some Blue Ribbon Beer or Boon’s Farm Wine, only the best will do.

This looks delicious. Mum’s recipes are always good. We are Greek, so I learned a lot of nice cooking from my Mm too.
