The Tin Man Has Found His Heart

Published by melissan at 9:12 pm under HUMOR Edit This

I often travel with my camera, and on a winter day in Goshen, Massachusetts, I was not disappointed when I came upon a local hardware goshen-tin-man.jpgstore.  It was here that I found the Tin Man and he was kind enough to stand in front of the store one day and pose for a photograph:

There isn’t much going on in Goshen and I guess residents have all kinds of time to come up with unique metallic art statues.  This particular property is also covered with broken bicycles all fused together and a plethora of other metal art statues.

I love this tin man.  He stands close to thirty feet tall and his heart lights up during the day.  Why they built him?  Who knows, but I often think, “Why Not?”.  If you want to leave a legacy, why not a 30 foot tall tin man statue at the front of your store?

This is cool, definitely! Do you know if they have any ties to L Frank Baum, or any of the actors who have played the Tin Man in any Oz movies?

Awesome picture! I love when people make art out of metal and recycled items.
