Barack Obama Abolishes the Defense of Marriage Act

Published by melissan at 3:04 pm under HUMOR Edit This

In a surprise move this afternoon, Newly Elected President of the United States Barack Obama abolished the previously established Defense of Marriage Act that defines marriage between a man and woman.  He didn’t even stop to pick up the new puppy for the White House.

President Obama, disgusted with how gays and lesbians have been treated, decided that his first act as President would be one heard around the world.   The newly created, Definition of Marriage Act will be the beginning of his legacy as the first President of the United States to stand up for gay and lesbian equality.

Out lesbian, and newly married Ellen Degeneres was reached for comment:  “I just married my wife and I can’t believe that this right has already been taken away from us in California.  I am so happy that Obama is President and has already passed this much needed legislation.  My wife and I thank you President Obama.”

the Act reads in part:  Two people, who love each other and want to commit to each other for the rest of their lives are given the inalienable right to join hands in matrimony…let it be known that all men and women are created equal…let marriage be defined by love and not by one’s gender”

I can dream, can’t I?  *This is meant to be a dream and is not real news for those that are not sure.
