Mangled Massachusetts Mailboxes - Take 3
Here’s another one in my collection of smashed Massachusetts Mailboxes. I didn’t have to search far, in fact, it is right across the street from me. We had a recent, heavy slush storm that has killed mailboxes all around town. I’m just waiting for my voucher from the town for a new mailbox this spring. In the past, the town has provided $50 for every mail customer that has had their mailbox destroyed by the winter plowing so that a new one can be purchased. These poor mailboxes, all proud throughout the summer, only to be smashed to death in winter storms.
Why do these amuse me so much?
I don’t know, but I’ve gotten my wife looking at smashed mailboxes too. Now she can’t help but point them out to me. In fact, she spotted this one and told me to post it on my blog. I can’t get her to actually visit or read my blog, but at least she’s helping me out with material.
