A Concept Car that Didn’t Make it out of the starting blocks
I love the idea of concept cars that are created simply for the purpose of trying out a design with almost no hope of making it into the mainstream market.
The Pivo 2, a concept car made by the Nissan company has yet to be mass produced. It looks more like a golf cart than a car to me, but who am I to judge?
The Pivo 2 is an advanced concept electric car that has wheels that turn 90 degrees, making parking the Pivo 2 a cinch.
Another weird but potentially marketable feature of this car is that the entire cab of the car can revolve 360 degrees, making the need for reverse obsolete.
There is a robotic assistant inside the car that monitors the driver constantly (umm, yikes?) In a demonstration, the car stated to the test driver, “you look tired, there is a coffee shop 500 meters ahead on the left”. Apparently they had drooping eyelids. If you are in a bad mood, the car will try to cheer you up as well.
Who knows if this type of car will catch on, probably not. Who really wants to be told how to drive, especially by their car?
