Coca-Cola for Your Newborn Baby
Yes, we’ve come a long way in advertising.
For those that find this difficult to read, it states : “Not soon enough. Laboratory tests over the last few years have proven that babies who start drinking soda during the early formative period have a much higher chance of gaining acceptance and “fitting in” during those awkward pre-teen and teen years. So, do yourself a favor. Do your child a favor. Start them on a strict regimen of sodas and other sugary carbonated beverages right now, for a lifetime of guaranteed happiness.”
Any parents out there?
I’d be quite happy too if I stuck to a strict regimen of cola every day. Wait. I do. I’m a coca cola addict and if I don’t have any for a few days I feel like I’m going through withdrawals.
What in the world were advertisers thinking about other than ways to make money to the health detriment of growing young children?
Thankfully we’ve come a long way in advertising which prohibits false claims such as the one above. Advertising can still go way overboard, especially with the internet and the abundance of information available. You still can’t trust everything that you read, but hopefully people are more conscious about blatantly lying.
I say hopefully because I wrote a large number of articles for a man selling male hair restoration products. He wanted “truthful” content about his product, yet he would ask for corrections with remarks such as: “that might be true, but we don’t want to tell them that”. I stopped writing for him because I realized what a lying bum he was. Let him write his own stuff if he was so smart.
